Healing Journeys through Nature
Sikkim Discovery
Our Philosophy
Our journeys embody a quest for a life in harmony with nature and with our essence as humans. Recognising the negative effects of our increasingly urbanised and unbalanced lifestyles, we feel it is important for us to return, even if it may be just once in a while, to the healing elements of nature, to fresh air, beautiful mountains, flowering valleys, and crystal clear streams.
To experience the restorative properties of nature.
To enjoy the serenity and expansiveness of the environment and to be in touch with our innermost essence as humans.to appreciate simple and harmonious ways of life imbued with culture, vitality and wisdom. to unite like-minded individuals and celebrate friendships.
To remember the goodness and warmth of the human spirit.
Aim
Health:
To appreciate the restorative and healing elements of nature.
Contemplation:
Thoughtfulness, encouraged by the primordial purity and tranquillity of the landscape.
Routine:
To establish a healthy and regular pace of life, with ample rest, exercise, and good nutrition.
Humanity:
To visit communities with simple and unhurried ways of life, where traditional culture, knowledge and values flourish. This kindles the depth and beauty of our human spirit, and nourishes our minds.
Premise
Humans are a microcosm of the universe. Immersed in the elements (space, wind, fire, water and earth) in their pure forms, the corresponding elements of the human body are invigorated. To be well, we need to move away from a limited view of the self, and experience a sense of co-extensiveness with the universe.
Values
Our work represents a quest for a life of meaning and beauty. We appreciate nature and cherish human goodness, and we value sincerity, purpose and a positive disposition. We look for experiences which are simple, genuine, raw and filled with the warmth of humanity. We respect and love our work, and take great pride in ensuring that our journeys present depth, are thoughtful, creative and contributes towards the well-being of our guests.
